Perfect 6.5 weather at Cooden. I pitched up there because I didn't want to get snarled up in the Air Show traffic. Haven't sailed Cooden for ages and there was just a kite out when I arrived. About two minutes later VFW Mark turned up (was he waiting round the corner?) and we both rigged 6.5's. Well I rigged it and sailed for about an hour and then he finally joined me on the water along with the mother of all lulls. Up until that moment, it was about as nice as a sunny afternoon can be. I was zooming the big boats about a mile and half out and getting zoomed by the air show jets. Then the lull took me into a hell hole of submerged rocks. All this barefoot talk is tosh. My feet are now all sliced up and because I couldn't take a firm step to climb out, my knees, shins and hands are all sliced up too - nice. The wind came back enough for me to limp back upwind with blood all over my board and boom, so I called it a day even though it looked like it was picking up. Apart from the Freddy Kruger rock slashing, it was a really good day.
